The Sedgwick County Zoo celebrated its 40th birthday this summer. To help them celebrate, they decided to give free admission for the weekend. (You know me, I can't pass up a good deal!) So we piled in the car and took Riley-bug to his first visit of a zoo. Below are pics of the day.

Okay, so not a whole lot of pictures but there were A LOT of people... stupid people! (I'm sure they are intelligent people but they were all acting in not-so-intelligent ways. Like standing in large groups to talk while blocking all exits and others who were walking around with no regard to others. Have you heard the phrase "Excuse me!") It was also very hot and humid. We'll have to go again next spring when he's a little older and it's a little cooler. Also, we can pay to get in. Free seems to bring out the stupid in people. Maybe we can even feed the giraffes!! Yea!
