Three Observations
Today I took my first ride in a Piper Meridian airplane. This plane is one of the members from the PA46 aircraft family that Midwest Malibu Center, Inc. works on. (Some of you may not know that I am working full time for this company this summer.)

This is very similar to the view I had in the plane as I forgot my cell phone on my desk. GRRRR!!! |
1) I very much dislike Auto-Pilot. Part of the reason we took the plane up was to check the operating systems as this plane is to be sold. This check included Auto-Pilot and, as with many "lower tech" systems, they try to find the right altitude but it is far from a smooth transition. My advice is that if this man can afford to buy this plane, he should kick in the extra $20,000-$30,000 on a newer, more advanced Auto-Pilot system like the newer planes have. I'm sure his queasy wife will appreciate the gesture.
2) From a certain height, Kansas looks like a patch-work quilt. The sight of the layout of the land looking like a pioneer woman's quilt made me think about how God really does have His hand in everything. These women had never seen the ground from high up, but they made something that looked very similar. It just tells me that God does inspire His artists.
3) From far enough away, EVERYTHING looks like crop-circles. Alien landings creating crop circles is a bunch of phooey!! The parts of the land down below that weren't rectangular of square, look like a crop-circle that you might see as a claim to an alien landing. They were very cool to look at.
