6 mos ...... and Counting
This morning when I went to put you on my shoulder, I realized your feet were able to touch my lap. It made me smile to see how much you've grown. Sunday, the 3rd, you will officially be 6 months old my sweet boy. Your personality is starting to come out which includes your ornery side as well. Here are some things you've been up to:
*The swing has lost its appeal and you've moved on to bigger and better things like the Jumperoo. Watching you jump makes us laugh to see you as you seem to smile with your entire body.
*You've figured out quite well how to roll from your back to the front (which is supposed to be the harder of the two) but you've seemed to forgotten how to go from your belly to your back. This turned out to be a problem since every so often you'll roll yourself onto your belly in your crib at night and since you can't figure how to get back, you just scream until I get up to put you back to sleep. We are still working on tummy time though.
*Rice cereal has been added to your diverse diet of milk and more milk. You are suc
h a big boy and doing well with this except for when you're too tired from having too much fun with the cousins at Grandma B's house.
*Your gator crawl is not very effective but boy do those legs move. Too bad they don't really move you forward very quickly.
*Oh! I almost forgot to mention my favorite new thing! You are now discovering your voice. You enjoy trying new vowel sounds and volume levels. You discovered how to scream for joy and laughs but most importantly that people will turn to look at you when you scream! I'm excited for you but it's hard to get totally on board when you chose to exhibit this newly found talent at the mortuary last week. :s However, my faith in you was renewed when I woke up on Sunday to your soft singing from your crib.
Mommy and Daddy love you more each day even though we don't ever think that it's possible to love you more than we already do. We love your smiles, the squeals you let out when you see the dog, and especially the hugs and kisses that you've started to give. I thank God every day for you and am so proud to see how you are growing.
